‘Varanasi Vibes’, my first book is on Amazon site

The twenty one days that I spent in Varanasi last year attending a training course gave me some wonderful experiences which I shared with my Face book friends. The great support and encouragement that I received for some of the posts as well as the suggestion from a few friends made me think about writing a book based on them. Keeping the Face book posts as the nucleus, I wrote a book, ‘Varanasi Vibes’ that sketches my experiences during the visits to Banaras, Mirzapur and Allahabad. Chaudhi, the aged cook of the Faculty hostel in the BHU who lived a simple existence in this highly evolved society prompted me to write in Face book. ‘Chaudhi’s world’ written some time during the last week of September got good reviews from you all. I wrote from my heart and thus it spoke to the other hearts. The poor Chaudhi who kindled my creative instincts leading to the book, might be sitting in some dark corner of the hostel, rolling chappathis for teacher inmates. Some times, I get this strange thought that my entire trip to Varanasi was to meet this gentle soul, living in a soot covered room quite ignorant about the happenings of the modern world. “Evening sun peeped through rich foliage bathing the monuments in a golden light. Eager to reach our next destination, we quickened our pace. The Pipal tree that stands testimony to one of the greatest episodes in written history was surrounded by a sea of worshipers” is a sample text that describes nature.
